quicky_bangSome time ago there was a fandom project that made clear there are a lot of artists with a desire to create more often and a lot of authors wishing for art to go with their stories that weren't part of big writing challenges. Yet both were not sure how to approach each other. We hope to bring y'all together in this art-community and offer opportunities for quick creative collaborations.
For now we are keeping it within the Supernatural fandom, including the RPF corner:) All ratings and genres are welcome.
QUICKY_BANG ROUND 2017-2
Authors: do you have a short story [<4000 words] you want illustrated?
SUBMIT it in our August 2017 round of the Quicky_Bang!
Artists: GRAB a fic to play with in August and September! (Remember it's supposed to be a quicky;)
CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
Our Quickies and MatchMaking Challenges are meant to inspire you to get creative as soon as possible, so you don't get too lost in your head worrying about the perfect visual. Art can be anything from a banner to a scene illustration and we welcome all media, from pencil sketches to digital designs.
To avoid procrastination we have one rule: you have to set yourself a deadline within the timeframe of the challenge. (A month for the regular QuickyBang, one, two or three weeks for the Matchmaker Challenge)
Art can then be posted to the community. There is no need for a specific banner as a preview, but we require at least a sneak peek or teaser of the artwork to be visible in the post. (This is an ART community after all;) Whether you link to an artpost in your own journal or directly to the author's story is up to you. We do encourage you to promote each other's work!
